Playa del Carmen Continues Operation Tormenta Amid Rainy Season
Playa del Carmen has been proactive in addressing the recent heavy rains with the continued operation of the Operativo Tormenta.
Brigades from the Playa del Carmen Municipality are actively patrolling the city to mitigate temporary water accumulations. They work alongside members from the Department of Public Works and Services and the Department of Civil Protection, Risk Prevention, and Fire Services.
As part of the Operation Tormenta, authorities are ensuring they can respond promptly to any issues reported by the public. The Operation Tormenta Playa will continue during the rainy season, as forecasted rainfall increases are anticipated.
The Playa del Carmen Municipality has advised residents to exercise caution on wet roads and avoid areas with sudden water accumulation. They have also urged the community to stay informed about the situation and reach out to emergency services at 9-1-1 in case of any emergencies.
