Cancún's Hidden Struggles: A Comedian’s Journey and Gloria Trevi’s Spectacular Show
While I’m still figuring out life in Cancún, I recently had the chance to listen to Luis de Alba’s poignant story on the local TV show, De Primera Mano. This legendary comedian, who has brought laughter to many, shares a deeply personal tale of loss and resilience.

Luis’ son was involved with a group of robbers and was unfortunately involved in a car accident after his release from prison, leaving him in a coma for eight years. Today, Luis continues to support his son’s care, showing the strength of his character. This isn’t just a story of a famous comedian; it’s about a man who, despite life’s harshest blows, maintains a sense of optimism and hope. His story is a reminder that behind the laughter, there are often hidden struggles that many of us might not see.
On a lighter note, I also attended Gloria Trevi's Celebration show at the Auditorio Nacional. It was a spectacular performance filled with high-tech production, talented performers, and powerful vocals. Gloria herself is an artist who truly embodies the meaning of dedication and hard work. If you’re in the area, make sure to catch Celebration-it’s a show you won’t forget.
Arrived in Cancún in 2017 from Italy. Still figuring things out, writing it down as it happens.
