My friend is an Indian national who just landed in Mexico City and lost his passport in transit at Pantitlán Station, Line 5 (Yellow Line), coming from Terminal Aérea. He needs urgent local guidance or support.

The Indian embassy in Polanco is open tomorrow at 9am, where he can apply for an emergency passport for his trip home. This process is relatively straightforward. In the Pantitlán area, there's a lost and found, but it's not very reliable. If he loses his passport, he can ask any police officer at the gates for assistance with 'Cosas perdidas' or simply say 'pasaporte perdido'. The police may not be overly helpful, but they will try to assist him.

They're trying to check the CCTV footage, but it's only active from Monday to Friday. They're on their way to the police station to file a complaint. In the meantime, they're looking for alternative ways to navigate the situation, which is becoming increasingly difficult.

If he loses his passport, it's highly unlikely he'll get it back. If it's stolen, the C5 crime cameras might be able to track the thief, but this would take time. In any case, he should consider applying for an emergency passport, especially if he's already lost his passport. It's better to accept the situation and find a solution rather than holding onto hope.

He's welcome to stay at my place in San Rafael, which is near Reforma in CDMX. If he needs a place to rest, feel free to reach out to me.
