Is it safe to visit the Anthropology Museum during protests?

Transportation 5 answers • devonsavoiedevonsavoie
I'm staying in the Juárez neighborhood and I want to visit the Anthropology Museum tomorrow. However, an Uber driver told me to stay indoors due to planned protests. I'm thinking of using Uber or Didi to get there around 10 am. Should I stick to my plan or stay home?

Use the metro or public transportation. As long as you can avoid the area, there shouldn't be a problem.

The protests are scheduled from Tlatelolco to the Zócalo and are planned for 4 pm, so you shouldn't have any issues in the morning.

You can walk to the museum in about 30 minutes.

Yes, but I'm a bit overweight and old. I did see on Google Maps that it would take 33 minutes by car and 36 minutes walking from where I am.

It's nowhere near you, unless there's another one! The planned protests will take place on a major street in the city center and are expected to cause significant disruptions to public transportation.
