La Paz to Prepare for Claudia Sheinbaum’s Visit with Traffic Restrictions
As Claudia Sheinbaum, the President of Mexico, is set to visit La Paz on Sunday, September 20th, 2026, the local authorities are gearing up with a special traffic operation to ensure smooth movement and safety during the event.

The visit includes an expected public meeting at the Palacio de Gobierno, part of her national tour to present the second report of her government. The event aims to inform the community about the progress of programs and projects being implemented in Baja California Sur and beyond.
Starting at 6:00 AM on Sunday, traffic restrictions will be enforced in certain streets of the city center, including Gral. Félix Ortega, Isabel la Católica, Ignacio Allende, and Nicolás Bravo. These measures will remain in place until the event concludes, ensuring that the public gathering can proceed without disruption.
A recommendation from the authorities is to use alternative routes and to plan for potential delays. With La Paz being a hub for both tourists and locals, these preparations are crucial to maintain the city's usual functionality during the visit.
