Festival de Día de Muertos Returns to the Teatro de la Ciudad
After a year of anticipation, the Festival de Día de Muertos is back, bringing together local talent at the Teatro de la Ciudad. This year's festival, which runs from October 28 to November 2, aims to celebrate and honor the traditions of the Day of the Dead with a series of performances and exhibitions.
The event is particularly significant for expats and digital nomads living in Los Cabos, as it provides a cultural hub for the community to come together and experience the rich heritage of Mexico. Seojun, an expat from South Korea who moved to Los Cabos in 2021, sees the festival as a highlight of the month, offering a chance to engage with local culture and connect with fellow expats.
Seojun shares, 'I’m really looking forward to this festival. It’s a great opportunity to witness the local traditions and meet other expats who share the same passion for Mexican culture.'
The festival features a mix of traditional and modern performances, including music, dance, and art exhibitions. It’s organized by the local government, who have been working to ensure the event is accessible and engaging for all attendees. For those interested in attending, tickets can be purchased online or at the teatro itself.
Arrived in Los Cabos in 2021 from South Korea. Still figuring things out, writing it down as it happens.
