Recommendations for a group dinner (25 people) restaurant venue in San Jose del Cabo?
We're planning a welcome dinner for our wedding party in San Jose del Cabo in May 2027 and need a restaurant that can accommodate 20-25 guests, including 2 minors, on a Friday night. We're looking for a casual atmosphere and local cuisine, and are open to a private section or a portion of a restaurant. We'll be staying at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos and will arrange transport for our group.
Cabo Nail Spa
Cabo Nail Spa offers a range of nail services, including gel manicures and spa pedicures. The pedicure is a proper spa pedicure with big massage chairs, a super clean space, and really sweet staff. It's located on the 2nd floor in downtown Cabo San Lucas, making it easy to get to if you're around the marina/downtown area. They also speak English and can be WhatsApped in English, making booking easy if you're visiting.
Villa del Palmar
Easy Uber ride or walk to restaurants in town, popular with families. Fun pools for the kids, good pools, easy beach time, and you're not stuck taking long rides every time someone wants tacos or ice cream.

Pez Gato / Tropicat Jazz and Sunset Cruise
For a $200 budget, I'd think small-group sunset sail rather than private. Private boats in Cabo get expensive fast once you add crew, fuel, dock fees, etc. A 2.5-3 hour sunset sail out of the Cabo marina, visiting the Arch/Land's End, with a slow cruise on the Pacific side if conditions are good, drinks/snacks included, and not one of the loud party catamarans, is the perfect fit for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Things to do in Cabo away from the Marina/Tourist area?
We're looking for alternative activities in the actual town of Cabo San Lucas, away from the Marina/Tourist area, after spending our previous trip in that area.
Hacienda Beach Club
If you want to leave your resort for dinner, Hacienda Beach Club is a better choice as it's closer to town. It's a great option if you're looking for something special.
Las Guacamayas
Las Guacamayas is a restaurant in San Jose del Cabo that offers an upstairs covered patio that can easily host a party of 25. The food is described as 'amazing' and not too expensive, making it a great option for a group dinner.

Glass Factory and Artesanos
Located in the town of San Jose del Cabo, the Glass Factory and Artesanos is a must-visit attraction for those looking to explore beyond the Marina/Tourist area. This factory showcases the region's rich cultural heritage by producing handmade glass art and other local crafts. As a local business owner, I can attest that staying in or near San Jose del Cabo is a great idea, especially if you're based in Cabo San Lucas. It offers a more cultural and historic downtown experience, and the Glass Factory and Artesanos is a great place to start your exploration. You can visit the factory and learn about the art of glassmaking, and also explore the local art scene at the Artesanos market.
