El Salvador Marks 11 Days Without Homicides on September 11, 2026
El Salvador achieved 11 days without any reported homicides on September 11, 2026, according to the National Civil Police. This milestone is attributed to the implementation of the Territorial Control Plan since 2019 and the current state of emergency since March 2022.

The country has recorded 1,206 days without homicides since the state of emergency began, and 1,320 days since President Nayib Bukele took office in June 2019.
