Santa Cruz de Tenerife: New Shuttle Bus Service to Ease Anaga Traffic
Good News for Commuters and Tourists Alike!

The Cabildo de Tenerife is planning to introduce a shuttle bus service connecting La Laguna to the Anaga Rural Park by the end of the year. This initiative, spearheaded by Mobility Councillor Eulalia García, aims to reduce traffic congestion in the Anaga area. García will be resubmitting a request to the Provincial Traffic Headquarters for technical reports to support this proposal, but the timeline is uncertain.
In the meantime, the Cabildo is taking other steps to improve accessibility in Anaga. Ten emergency repair projects, backed by €3.1 million, are underway to address damage caused by Storm Therese. Additionally, the council is exploring the integration of shuttle buses with public transit and on-demand transport services, as well as the development of park-and-ride facilities at Cruz de El Carmen and San Andrés.
Despite these plans, some delays are expected due to previous denials of requests made by the Cabildo. However, the local authorities remain committed to finding sustainable solutions for Anaga's mobility issues.
If you're planning a trip to Anaga, keep an eye out for updates on the shuttle bus service and the park-and-ride facilities. These changes will likely make your travel more convenient and reduce the stress of navigating the area's often congested roads.
