I applied for a Copy Editing job at B&H Photo and they want to do an in-person interview, but I'm hesitant after doing some research on the company's history of lawsuits and workplace discrimination.

I've heard about a well-documented discrimination lawsuit from a few years ago that's worth looking into. However, I know someone who worked in a non-retail role at the company and said the copy editing team was fine, but the overall culture was problematic.

Those past incidents were approximately 10 and 20 years old, and from what I gathered, they involved the Brooklyn warehouse rather than the Manhattan store. Although it was a different department, it's still under the same company umbrella. It might be worth investigating how the company's copy department operates.
