Gobierno de Isla Mujeres Enhances Clean-Up Efforts for Day of the Dead
The local government of Isla Mujeres is stepping up its cleaning operations to ensure the island remains presentable during the Day of the Dead festivities and the Festival Luz y Vida “Entre Vivos y Muertos.”

The director of public services, Santiago Quiñónez, announced that the municipality will intensify street sweeping and clean-up efforts in key areas such as avenues, parks, and event zones. This is part of a broader initiative to maintain the island's image and cleanliness during peak tourist seasons.
During the preparations for the Pandora concert on October 30th, the government will also focus on managing waste and ensuring the area remains clean. Residents and visitors are encouraged to properly dispose of their trash to help maintain the island's beauty.
These measures underscore the importance of keeping Isla Mujeres clean and welcoming, especially as it hosts large gatherings during significant cultural events. Stay informed about the cleanup schedule and participate in keeping your community tidy.
