Why are only Nestle Halloween chocolates available at local grocery stores?

I've noticed that only the Nestle Halloween boxes of Smarties, Kit Kat, Coffee Crisp, and one other variety are available at the local grocery stores I've visited, but not the seasonal Mars, Twix, or Snickers bars. The shelves are not even fully stocked, with no tags on the products.

I've found that Walmart and Costco have a wider selection of seasonal Nestle chocolates, including some generic varieties that are a good option if you're looking to stock up on a low inventory or overstock.

It's likely that the stores waited too long to restock their seasonal chocolates, so they're only left with whatever was already on hand.

Many people with allergies opt for peanut-free chocolates, which can make them a default choice.

I've heard that Mars had a dispute with Loblaws, so the stores may have brought in extra Nestle chocolates to make up for the lack of Mars products.

Companies pay a lot of money to own shelf space, so it's not surprising that certain seasonal chocolates are being prioritized over others.
