Canada Inches Closer to Top 25 in FIFA Men's World Rankings
Canada's men's national soccer team climbed three places to No. 27 in the latest FIFA men's world rankings, putting them just one spot behind their all-time high of No. 26. The jump came after Canada won two impressive games against South American teams during its most recent international window.
- Highlights:
- Canada defeated Chile and Peru in consecutive matches.
- The team moved up from 30th to 27th in the rankings.
- Without key player Alphonso Davies, who was on honeymoon with his wife.
- Canada is set to challenge its all-time best ranking of No. 26 in November when FIFA updates the rankings.
- The team will face Guatemala in a Nations League quarterfinal match next month.
