Direct Flight from Poland to Puerto Vallarta: A Winter Getaway Boost

As a relatively new expat in Puerto Vallarta, I’m always curious about what’s changing in this sunny corner of Mexico. And boy, did something just get exciting for us winter visitors: LOT Polish Airlines is adding a direct charter flight from Katowice to Puerto Vallarta, starting December 17, 2026, and running until March 18, 2027. Every Thursday, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner will make the trip, offering a convenient and direct route for Polish holidaymakers.

The flights are part of a broader holiday program by Rainbow Tours, which includes seven nights at selected hotels, airport transfers, and optional excursions. This new route means more visitors from Poland, who can now enjoy a winter getaway, exploring Puerto Vallarta and nearby magical towns like Yelapa and San Sebastián del Oeste.

The schedule is straightforward: LOT Polish Airlines flight LO6581 leaves Katowice at 5:15 a.m. and arrives in Puerto Vallarta by 12:30 p.m. The return flight, LO6582, departs Puerto Vallarta at 2:20 p.m. and arrives back in Katowice by 9:10 a.m. the next day. That’s about 14 hours westbound and just under 12 hours on the way home.
