Hotel Mousai Sales Pressure?

Hotel Mousai Sales Pressure?
Services 3 answers • AlejandroAlejandro
We're returning to Puerto Vallarta for our 1-year anniversary and have competing bookings at the Hilton Vallarta and Hotel Mousai. Mousai is $1,000 less than the Hilton for 5 nights with the all-inclusive option, and we're considering it due to the savings and adults-only option. Has anyone stayed at Mousai and experienced significant sales pressure to buy a timeshare?

The main draws at this resort are the rooftop pools and the view. I couldn't speak to the sales pressure, but the sales office was a large conference center that was filled with activity.

We've stayed at a resort in Puerto Vallarta three times, and the first two trips had no sales pitches at all. On our final trip, we got a quick pitch when we arrived, but we said no thanks and were left alone. They even went above and beyond to make our experience special, and on our final day, we were approached again with a pitch for ownership, but we said no thanks and that was the end of it. One of our favorite memories was watching the sunset from our room's private balcony.

I live in Puerto Vallarta and have heard that a particular resort is not a high-pressure timeshare place like Vidanta or Almar. I never mentioned timeshare to the staff when I stayed there, and they didn't bring it up either. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I appreciated their recommendations for local restaurants and activities.
