Liquor or beer super store?

I'm an electrician who's been in NYC for 3 years, and I often work with people who are new to the city. I'm looking for a liquor or beer superstore where I can buy in bulk at a good price, similar to Bevmo or Total Wine and More on the west coast or Binny's in Chicago.

The law is designed to prevent a single store from selling both liquor and beer, making it difficult to find a one-stop shop for both.

When I visited a Shoprite in New Jersey, I was surprised to find a large liquor section with a wide selection of beers and spirits, and prices that were significantly lower than what I'm used to in New York. The liquor section was even bigger than some city Trader Joe's stores. Needless to say, I stocked up. However, I've noticed that it's not possible to buy New Jersey beers in the city for some reason.

Costco on Long Island has a standalone liquor store adjacent to the main warehouse, which sells beer.

Taking the PATH to Newport in Jersey City and walking to the Super Buyrite (or the ShopRite, as some people suggest) is a viable option. This location is relatively close to New York City. However, it's worth noting that the cost of transportation, including Uber fares and tolls, can quickly erase any savings from buying in bulk.

If beer and liquor can't be sold together due to New York's liquor laws, it's unlikely that a single store selling both will exist. The laws governing liquor sales in New York are indeed restrictive.

There's a stretch of Meeker Avenue in Williamsburg that has both a liquor store with excellent prices and a beer distributor with a good selection. The liquor store, BQE Liquors, is particularly well-regarded for its prices.
