How early should I arrive at YUL airport for Aeromexico business class?

I'll be flying YUL-MEX on Aeromexico this winter and I'm just wondering how far in advance I need to arrive at the airport. I've travelled often and I don't have checked luggage. My ticket says I have access to the fast-track security lanes, so I assume I won't spend more than 15 min in line. Do I really need to arrive 3 hours ahead of time?

Considering airline priority programs and reserved timeslots, you can access a secondary entrance to the security checkpoint, which will put you at the front of the line. However, since the daily Aeromexico flight in the late morning occurs during a relatively quiet period for the airport, the general security line might not be long. Arriving an hour before departure should be sufficient, but it's always a good idea to add some extra time for your own comfort. For instance, you could use the time to grab a snack or do some last-minute shopping. Three hours before departure is definitely overkill. Does your business class ticket grant you lounge access, making an earlier arrival more enjoyable?

That's helpful to know about the late morning departure and the one-hour timeline. I suppose I could find a balance between getting to the airport early and not wasting too much time. I do have access to the Air France lounge, which I'm looking forward to visiting, but I probably don't need to spend two hours there either. Perhaps I could use the time to catch up on some work or relax in a quiet area.

Keep in mind that boarding usually starts 45 minutes before takeoff, so you'd have a maximum of 1 hour and 15 minutes to spend in the lounge.

If you don't have any checked bags, this flight is essentially the same as a domestic one. However, if online check-in doesn't work, you may need to arrive earlier to obtain your boarding pass. YUL Express allows you to pre-book a security time slot to minimize wait times.

The same priority entrance used for YUL Express passengers is also accessible without a reservation for privileged travelers, including those with SkyPriority service, such as business class passengers on Aeromexico.

To determine how early to arrive at the airport, consider the boarding time for your flight. Some flights may start boarding as early as 1 hour before departure, while others may push off the gate up to 15-20 minutes ahead of schedule if they're ready. To be safe, plan to arrive 90 minutes to 2 hours before your flight to ensure you have some extra time in case of any delays. You'll likely have 30-45 minutes to spare, but it's always better to be prepared.
