Houston Water Meter Service Company Broke My Pipe Without Telling Me, Who Do I Report It To?

I had my ring camera catch EnvoCore changing my water meter without my knowledge, they left the water running and broke my pipe. COH said it's not their responsibility.

If you've caused the damage, it's your responsibility. Gather evidence and open a claim if you have proof of the incident.

The footage from your doorbell camera is likely your most compelling piece of evidence. Save multiple copies of it on an external drive and document every communication you have with the plumber and the water company from now on.

Get your issue resolved as soon as possible. Don't rely on the city or EnvoCore to fix it quickly. Contact your local city council office, and they'll forward your complaint to the relevant department. You'll likely get a more helpful response from them than from the customer service representatives.

Consider reaching out to a local news station, such as KPRC, to share your story.

Take your case to the media and expose the situation to the public.

I once had a similar issue where my meter number was incorrect, and it took 18 months to resolve (during which time I wasn't billed). The department head seemed to be more interested in playing golf than addressing the problem.
