I just noticed last night that the leaves in my neighborhood haven't changed. Kind of weird?

Fall officially kicked in last week, but it'll take a few more weeks to really notice the change.

The transition is happening gradually, with noticeable changes expected in the next couple of weeks.

It's not that weird for September

It's unlikely to see significant changes until mid-October, but if you want to see some fall colors now, a drive up to Lake Superior is worth considering.

Some tree tops are already changing color, and you can spot them along I-55 as you head out. However, peak foliage time is usually around the second or third week of October, depending on the weather, and in some years, the colors linger into early November, although most trees tend to finish changing by then.
