Where is Chicago's backyard?

I'm a Brazilian remote worker living in Chicago since 2023, and I'm curious about the city's layout. I've always thought of Grant Park as the 'front yard', but I'm not sure what the 'backyard' would be, or even if it's a common concept in Chicago.

The Back of the Yards, I think that's a fitting answer.

The city's park system is largely connected by the Boulevard network, forming a ring of green spaces. In some areas, the Forest Preserve system serves as a fitting buffer zone.

The Back of the Yards neighborhood is a notable area, but for me, the park system along the Des Plaines River has always felt like a tranquil oasis.

These parks are part of the extensive Forest Preserves of Cook County, which can be visualized on a detailed map of the area around the intersection of North Avenue and River Road.
