Why do German cars seem to be getting stuck in the floods more often?

I've been noticing that when I'm driving through flooded areas, it's mostly German cars like BMWs and Porsches that get stuck. Is it because the drivers are more likely to try to drive through the deeper lanes, or is it something to do with the cars themselves?

The issue might be related to the type of car, which is particularly sensitive to water, or the type of driver, who may be overly confident.

The engineering of the car, such as its lower air intakes compared to Japanese cars like the Suzuki Swift, might be a contributing factor.

Overconfidence from drivers likely plays a significant role in these incidents.

I believe the drivers who try to force their way through flooded areas are the main issue. German cars, although tough, are not invincible and can struggle in such situations.

The location of the air intake is crucial. A car like the 911 will have trouble navigating flooded streets, whereas a vehicle with a higher air intake, such as the Cayenne, will fare better due to its increased ground clearance.
