When did parking around Highland Bennu start charging?

When did parking around Highland Bennu start charging?

I went to Bennu over by Highland for coffee and a few hours of work, but when I came back to my car, there was a parking violation on my windshield. Apparently the FiveTwo apartment over there is now charging for parking that used to be free, even the retail parking.

I recently visited a location near the ACC campus and noticed a QR code at the cash register offering two free hours of parking. It might be possible to park on campus and then walk to this location, since parking is free at ACC.

I recall having to buy a parking pass for ACC in the past, and I thought it was enforced like that. I'm not sure when the policy changed.

I've been told that parking has been free at ACC since at least 2020, but I'm not sure if that's still the case.

I stopped by Paris Baguette on a busy street in Austin about a month ago to grab a coffee and pastry on my way to work. I was surprised to see that parking was paid, so I decided to go somewhere else instead. I'm not willing to pay to park for less than 10 minutes.

I used to go to a popular coffee shop in Austin, but I haven't been back recently because I don't want to pay for parking.

I noticed that a coffee shop on a main street in Austin started charging for parking about four months ago.
