Outside a coffee window in Inman Park, a man stared at his dusty car and said, "Why is my car yellow?" The woman behind him in line answered without looking up from her phone, "It's pollen, honey. It's April." Pollen is the yellow dust the trees release every spring, and it covers everything here for weeks. I had stopped noticing until he said it out loud. He wiped the hood with his sleeve and looked at the sleeve like it owed him money.
