I have a freezone company in Dubai and I'm trying to understand the tax residency rules for Indians. I've been told I need to live in Dubai for 6 months and then I can live elsewhere for 6 months, but I'm not sure if this is true.

I'm not sure about the specifics of your situation, but tax regulations can vary depending on your country of origin and residency. You should really speak with an accountant or tax lawyer who can give you personalized advice.

Yes, you can do this by applying for a taxi residency certificate. This is a definitive proof of your residency in Dubai. I've done it before and it worked out well for me.

I have a business license from AFZA and a residency from another company where I'm an employee in sales. I live outside the UAE for more than a year, and there's no issue with my visa. I just need to renew my business license every year as usual.

Everyone's circumstances are different, so it's really important to get advice from a lawyer and an accountant. They'll be able to give you the best advice for your specific situation, and if they make a mistake, they'll be liable for any losses you suffer.

I've been doing this for the past 4 years. To clarify, your income from India should be below 15 lakh, and you'll need to secure a residence visa from Dubai. Additionally, it's essential to ensure you don't spend more than 180 days in India each year.
