Wild Pigs in Santurce, What to Do?

I live in Santurce and there are wild pigs running around at night, breaking into garbage and destroying property. I'm concerned about the safety of children and the elderly in the community. I've seen them traveling in packs and they chatter their teeth as a warning.

If you're seeing feral pigs traveling in groups and displaying warning behavior, it's a good idea to take the situation seriously. As a resident, you can report them to the official authorities. The agriculture department has a procedure in place for residents to report feral pigs, and you should include an approximate number of pigs and their locations in your report. You can also contact the USDA APHIS at 866-536-7593. I've had a positive experience with this service in the past. To strengthen your report, consider documenting the damage with photos or videos taken from a safe distance and encourage your neighbors to report the issue as well.

I'm fairly certain that a new law was recently passed to address the issue of feral pigs. Unfortunately, I've had to deal with them on a nightly basis. During certain times of the year, they tend to visit my yard near the pool, where they destroy anything they can eat, including berries from the royal palms. Feral pig populations are difficult to control because the females can give birth twice a year, starting at six months of age, and average ten piglets per litter. I've tried contacting various authorities, including the feds, who set up traps at my house to monitor for swine disease.
