I'm celebrating my birthday with friends and young kids, looking for a casual spot with good food and outdoor space, preferably around Winter Park, College Park, Baldwin, Ivanhoe, Thornton, SoDo, Maitland, Casselberry, Altamonte, Lake Mary, Sanford.

The Eden Bar at Enzian has a play area where kids can run around and get some exercise. While the food is unimpressive, the atmosphere and selection of drinks make up for it.

The Yardery in Sanford is a great spot for families with kids who need to burn off energy. They open at 11:00 AM, and their menu is a bit unconventional, but it works for them.
