Do Storage Rentals Bait and Switch Prices in Orlando?

I'm planning to move my belongings to a storage unit and noticed that the prices online are significantly lower than what the sales rep quoted me in person. I'm wondering if this is a common practice among storage companies in Orlando.

Prices tend to increase every 3-4 months. However, you can adjust your unit size online to take advantage of the current online pricing.

I initially reserved a $150/month unit online, but when I visited the location in person, the sales representative offered me a 'teaser rate' of $200/month, which would increase to $290/month.

When you sign up online, you're often quoted a lower rate, but it tends to increase after a few months. I have experience with ExtraSpace, where I have two units, and I'm familiar with their pricing structure.

All storage facilities seem to follow this pricing pattern. You might be able to negotiate a lower rate by calling and expressing your dissatisfaction.

It seems like all storage facilities are following the same pricing strategy, so I'm not surprised to hear that some companies are raising their rates multiple times.

Storage companies vary in their pricing practices. While some, like Extra Space, are relatively reasonable, others, like Midgard Self Storage, have a reputation for being particularly aggressive with rate increases.

We've experienced multiple rate increases with Public Storage over the past six months, and we're currently looking for a new storage solution.

We used to store our belongings at a facility on Aloma Avenue. Our initial rate was $30/month for a small 5x5 unit. We managed to negotiate a lower rate after the first year, but the price eventually increased to $65/month before we cancelled our contract.
