I've been looking for a while and so far, I've noticed that listings on websites and platforms are often inflated, and if you find a good deal, good luck in not getting outbid. Facebook and local groups are full of scammers and people with a distorted view of the market. I've been recommended to walk around the neighborhood and ask people or check with the building management.

Yes, I also recommend checking Inmuebles 24 or Mercado Libre.

For me, finding an apartment has always been about seeing an ad in the building itself and contacting the landlord directly. I've never used an app for this.

Unfortunately, the rental market in CDMX is in a bad state. I was on Inmuebles 24 for about two months, and the prices were through the roof. They ask for too many absurd requirements, and if you don't have a guarantor, they'll try to rip you off with multiple deposits, expensive legal fees, and a 'rental agreement' that's almost as expensive as a month's rent. My wife found a great apartment on Facebook without all these issues, but I'm still skeptical about the deal.
