We're trying to find a way to avoid the high prices charged by the taxi mafia at Padang Bai port. We've tried looking up prices on Grab and showing them to the drivers, but some of them just take the ride and don't show up. We've also tried calling Grab from further down the main road, but the taxi mafia can be quite aggressive if they catch you trying to use the app.

We were followed by taxi drivers on a scooter for half an hour after trying to leave the port. Eventually, we found a driver willing to drive us for a reasonable price, but the experience was stressful.
