Best time to visit Playa del Carmen for warm weather?

The best time to visit the Mexican Caribbean is at the end of autumn and the beginning of spring. It's high season, so expect higher prices. However, it's generally warm, and the sea is always warm. I recommend staying in Playa del Carmen, as it's centrally located and prices are lower than in Cancun and Tulum. From there, you can easily move around using public transportation, which is affordable.

November is usually better than the first two weeks of December if you're looking for warm weather at night. Starting from late November, the nortes and cold fronts arrive, which lower the temperature at night and raise the sea. In November, there's almost no seasonal rain, and the sargasso is at its lowest point of the year. For a solo 10-day trip, staying in Playa del Carmen is the most practical option: it's walkable, has restaurants with single-person seating, and it's easy to visit Cozumel, Akumal, and the cenotes.
