Isla Mujeres' Firefighters Enhance Training at National Conference
Firefighters from Isla Mujeres concluded their training at the Second National Conference of Firefighters in Playa del Carmen. During the five-day event, they received specialized training in rescue, technology, and emergency response.

The conference aimed to strengthen emergency response capabilities and improve their ability to handle risk situations. Participants updated their knowledge and shared experiences with firefighters from various parts of the country.
Attendees learned techniques and procedures to enhance their emergency response, including primary search using thermal imaging cameras. They also practiced rescuing individuals from inaccessible areas such as cliffs.
Newly acquired skills included CPR for firefighters, the use of drones for search and reconnaissance, and the Can Confident, First Line, and Incident Command System. These tools help in organizing and executing interventions more efficiently and safely.
Coordination and command training were also covered, which aids in organizing and making decisions during emergencies. This ongoing training is essential for maintaining a well-prepared firefighting team.
