My son wants a PS4, and I'm not sure where to buy a refurbished one. I've seen them at Best Buy and Walmart, but I'm also wary of buying from the marketplace.

It's unlikely you'll encounter issues when buying a 13-year-old console from Marketplace, as it's a reputable platform.

It's still a good idea to test a console before purchasing, as older models can have issues like faulty disc drives or worn-out HDMI ports.

That's why it's best to meet in a public place, rather than a secluded area like the back of a convenience store in a less desirable part of town.

I have a PS4 that I recently upgraded from. It's in perfect working condition, but I totally get if you're hesitant to buy without a warranty or something.

If you prefer to shop in a physical store, consider Video Game Trader and Level Up for peace of mind - they're both great options.

You might want to give Videogame Trader a call, as they're located in the Lake Bonavista mall and are knowledgeable about gaming hardware.
