I'm planning a trip overseas and I'm worried about my electric bill. I'll be away from Bangkok for a few months and I'm not sure how to pay my bill remotely.

When I'm abroad, I've found that mobile banking works without any issues. I simply make payments using the app on my phone.

The bank's app still functions, and you can also access it through a web browser. However, be aware that if you switch to a new phone and install the app, it might require a Thai phone network the first time you open it. In my experience, this happened when I used K-Bank a couple of years ago, and I found that my 4G/5G connection or Wi-Fi, with or without a VPN, wouldn't work abroad.

To make managing my bills easier, I set up a direct debit, which allows the bank to automatically deduct payments from my account.
