Who is responsible for maintaining lane lines on 290?

Driving on 290 in Houston can be hazardous, especially in the rain. The lane lines and reflectors are often unclear, making it difficult to determine which lane you're in. I'm worried that this will lead to injuries and deaths if it's not addressed.

If you have concerns about road design or materials, you can contact TXDOT directly to discuss your issues.

Driving on 290 in the rain can be hazardous, especially when the sun is low in the sky. The road's design and lack of clear lane markings make it difficult to navigate. In the morning or evening, when the sun is shining directly on the road, it's even more challenging. The lanes on 290 desperately need to be reconfigured to improve safety.

The stretch of 59S just south of 610 is another area that requires attention. The road's surface would benefit from reflective paint to enhance visibility, especially at night or in low-light conditions.

Many roads in Harris County and the city of Houston have poor signage, making it difficult for drivers to navigate. Jones Road is a particularly challenging stretch, especially at night or in the rain, when there are no streetlights to guide drivers.
