Pick one part of Balboa Park per visit and note where you parked

I learned to choose a single section of Balboa Park each time. On our first visit we tried to see everything, ended up at the wrong end, tired, with the car a long walk away. Now I write down where I parked and which entrance is nearest before we go in. I cannot say what is open on which day, so I check that on the morning itself. The park is large and flat looking on a map, which is exactly the trap.
