Fishing Tournament Returns: 450,000 Pesos in Prizes on November 7

The 19th Playa Los Muertos Fishing Tournament is just around the corner, and it’s time to mark your calendars for November 7. With 450,000 pesos in prizes up for grabs, this event is a must-attend for both seasoned anglers and casual beachgoers alike.

• Date: November 7, 2026
• Time: Boats leave at 7 am and must return by 5 pm.
• Categories: Dorado (200,000 pesos), Marlin and Tuna (100,000 pesos each), Pacific Crevalle Jack (50,000 pesos).
• Registration: Friday, November 6, from 10 am at Deportes Gutiérrez Rizo, Aquiles Serdán 350 in the Romantic Zone. The fee is 6,500 pesos per boat.

Even if you're not fishing, the post-tournament festivities are worth the visit. Starting at 2 pm, local chefs will grill fish brought in for the weigh-in, and you can enjoy free food while listening to live music from 7:15 pm to 10 pm.
