Back to School in Puerto Morelos

Almost 5,000 students hit the classroom in Puerto Morelos this week, brimming with new backpacks and supplies for the 2026-2027 school year.

Presidente municipal Blanca Merari Tziu Muñoz welcomed students at the David Alfaro Siqueiros Primary School, celebrating the start of a new academic journey.

• 3,556 uniforms and backpacks distributed
• 3,595 basic school supplies kits handed out

These resources ensure students start the year with the tools they need, with support from the Quintana Roo government.

Blanca Merari also praised the efforts of families and institutions in securing educational rights, thanking Governor Mara Lezama for her support.
