Door to door battery back up system salesmen?

Dienste vor 2W 3 answers • phoenixtyle

My 90-year-old father in Sun City got a call from someone offering to install a battery backup system on his solar panel-equipped home, and now they're coming tomorrow. He's confused and I'm worried it's a scam. Is this a thing out there, selling battery backup systems to seniors who don't understand the terms?

I'm not entirely sure, but this situation seems suspicious.

Most people who aren't door-to-door salespeople are either scams, taking advantage of the system or someone, or just bad deals.

This isn't surprising, given the history of solar scams in this area during the solar boom. Many of those companies have gone under, leaving people with systems without warranties.
