A loophole in the Texas Constitution was intended to allow friends to gather and play poker at home. However, a company has found a way to exploit this loophole, or so they claim. The case is still pending in court, and the company is being allowed to operate in the meantime. The club in question is located on a street in Dallas, where patrons pay for membership, food, and drinks, but not a rake on the games themselves.

When the club first opened, it made headlines due to its unique business model. As a members-only club, it doesn't generate revenue from gambling, but rather from membership fees. Patrons can play poker and other games with each other for money, and the club profits from food and drink sales.

The club's business model is based on charging patrons for membership, food, and drinks, rather than taking a rake on the games. This allows players to continue playing with each other for money.

No, patrons also pay for time and membership, which contributes to the club's revenue.

The club is a private establishment where patrons pay for access, as well as food and drinks. Since the house doesn't take a rake, the games are considered legal. The club's revenue comes from membership fees, food, and drink sales.
