Free Admission to Lam Kinh Historical Relic During 2026 Festival: A Must-Visit for Digital Nomads
Living in Da Nang for two years, I’ve had the chance to explore the city’s hidden gems and historical sites. The latest news about free admission to the Lam Kinh Historical Relic during the 2026 festival is a fantastic opportunity for both expats and digital nomads like myself to delve deeper into the local culture and history.
The Lam Kinh Special National Relic, located in Lam Son Commune, Thanh Hoa province, will be accessible for free from September 30 to October 3. This is an exciting development, especially considering the rich history it holds, which celebrates the Le kings and the Lam Son uprising, marking the 608th anniversary of the Lam Son uprising, the 598th anniversary of the coronation of King Le Thai To, and the 593rd anniversary of his death.
As a digital nomad, I often find myself seeking out new places to explore, and this festival offers a perfect opportunity to do so. The opening ceremony on October 2 at the Dragon Yard in front of the main palace at Lam Kinh is particularly noteworthy. It promises a traditional and cultural experience that is hard to find in many places.
The highlight of the festival is the processions carrying palanquins of King Le Thai To and Trung Tuc Vuong Le Lai, which will travel from their respective temples to the Lam Kinh Palace grounds. These ceremonies will be carried out by ceremonial and palanquin teams from Lam Son and Kien Tho communes, adding a unique and authentic flavor to the celebration.
For those of us who enjoy the beaches and the laid-back lifestyle of Da Nang, visiting Lam Kinh is a chance to mix up the routine and experience something completely different. The festival is also part of Thanh Hoa’s efforts to promote tourism, making it a great opportunity for both domestic and international visitors to discover the historical significance of Lam Kinh.
