I'm planning a trip to Cancun in January, and I'll be staying in Akumal at the end of my stay. My flight back home is at 7 am from Cancun airport, and I'm looking for the fastest and most affordable way to get there. I don't want to take the colectivo because it would take too long.

Why not stay in Playa del Carmen the night before you leave? That way you can avoid any potential traffic or weather issues, and you can take the ADO bus from there. Also, never travel on a weekend, it's always better to go during the week.

Stay in Puerto Morelos or Playa del Carmen the night before you travel, it's a good idea.

Don't play it safe, just go the night before and stay at the Hilo Garden or the Confort Inn. Or you can go at midnight. If you're traveling internationally, you'll need to arrive by 4 am to go through filters and migration.
