Tulum Sees Urgent Pavement Repairs Following Heavy Rainfall
The Tulum municipal government has initiated an urgent pavement repair campaign in response to the recent rainfall-induced damage to streets. Mayor Diego Castañón Trejo and municipal authorities have coordinated with the City Water and Sewage Commission (CAPA) to address the issue. The campaign aims to reduce accident risks and improve street conditions, with repairs expected to take between three to four days of sunny weather to complete. Meanwhile, municipal workers continue daily street cleaning and tree trimming operations, prioritizing major roads and eventually extending to residential areas and the coastal zone.

The mayor emphasized the government's commitment to resolving the matter as quickly as possible, noting that ongoing weather conditions are hindering the progress of the road rehabilitation project. He also highlighted the importance of future cooperation with CAPA to continue improving the city's infrastructure.
Residents of Tulum are encouraged to stay informed about the ongoing repair efforts through local government channels and to share the news with their networks.
