Cineclub La Última Fila Brings Documentary on River Defense to Cancún
Defend the water, defend the land, defend your identity and life-these are the words echoed in the documentary Los que dicen ¡No!, which will premiere in Cancún as part of a special screening at the Cineclub La Última Fila. This event, in collaboration with Ambulante Presenta, highlights the powerful story of community resistance against environmental threats.

The film, directed by Ángel F. Flores, takes viewers to the Sierra Norte de Puebla, where campesinos organize to protect the Apulco River from extractive projects. Their testimonies and experiences paint a picture of collective strength and the fight for a sustainable future.
This free screening, set for Wednesday, October 21st, at 6:00 PM in the Teatro 8 de Octubre, provides an engaging opportunity to explore the themes of environmental conservation and community resilience. The Cineclub aims to use this film as a tool for dialogue and reflection, encouraging audience members to think critically about their role in protecting natural resources.
