Cancún Revamps 10 Synthetic Sports Fields: Better Play, Safer Games
Local authorities in Cancún, Mexico, have launched a significant project to refurbish 10 synthetic sports fields, ensuring safer and more enjoyable playing conditions for residents and visitors alike. This initiative, supervised by Mayor Ana Paty Peralta, aims to address the deterioration of the current surfaces and improve overall safety for sports enthusiasts.

The works will involve the removal and maintenance of the damaged synthetic grass, followed by the installation of new material. This will not only enhance the playing experience but also reduce the risk of injuries associated with worn-out surfaces. The affected fields are spread across various supermanzanas, including Hugo Sánchez, Parque Rotario, and Tierra Maya.
“This is part of our city’s transformation and a legacy we are leaving for our children and young people,” Mayor Peralta stated. By revitalizing these spaces, the city seeks to promote healthy activities and contribute to the peace and well-being of its residents.”
