Photo Radar to Roll Out in Nine Calgary Neighborhoods Starting This November
Calgary, Canada - November 2026

Starting this November, photo radar will be deployed in nine Calgary communities, aiming to reduce road collisions. These areas include Altadore, Auburn Bay, Cambrian Heights, Glamorgan, Glenbrook, Patterson, Silver Springs, and Wildwood. Additionally, 57 Intersection Safety Camera (ISC) locations will be activated, capturing vehicles running red lights and speeding through green lights.
According to statistical analysis, collision data, and citizen concerns, these neighborhoods were chosen to enhance safety. Motorists caught speeding over 50 km/h will receive an Offence Notice/Violation Ticket and must pay at the Provincial Court or online. The ticket must be addressed by the appearance date on the document.
What This Means for Residents: Expect a stricter enforcement of speed limits and traffic rules in these neighborhoods. This could impact commuting times and driving habits, so be prepared for potential delays and changes in your daily routine.
