Hogwarts Comes to Life: Magical Harry Potter Display in Calgary
Every Halloween, Calgary transforms into a magical realm with two homes acting as the gateway to Hogwarts and Hogsmeade from the wizarding world. This year, Jo Alcock and her family, along with their neighbors Pam and Greg, have dedicated over 200 hours to bring their Harry Potter display to life, growing it to include new attractions like the Hogs Head Pub and an expanded Dumbledore’s office.

The display is free for visitors, who can enjoy it on October 24 from 4:30 to 8:30 PM and again on Halloween, October 31, from 6 to 9 PM. Alcock also uses the event to support the Calgary Food Bank, aiming to exceed last year’s donation of 1,000 pounds of food and $375 in cash.
Whether you’re an expat or a digital nomad, this annual magical event is a must-see, offering a unique and enchanting experience for all ages. Don’t miss out on the chance to explore a piece of the wizarding world right here in Calgary! This event not only provides a thrilling experience but also supports local charity, making it a win-win for visitors and the community.
