Cineplex Offers Free Movie Day for Families in Calgary and Across Canada
Next weekend, Calgary and Canadian families can look forward to a day filled with fun and free entertainment at Cineplex. The movie theater chain is hosting its 14th annual Community Day on November 14, with a variety of free screenings and discounted snacks across its locations. For the Calgary crowd, it's a great opportunity to enjoy some family-friendly movies and games.

At Cineplex theaters, The Rec Room, and Playdium, moviegoers can catch screenings of The Lego Movie, Paddington 2, A Minecraft Movie, and Tom & Jerry from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. These films are perfect for kids and adults alike, and tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Popcorn and drinks are also cheaper during this special event, with regular popcorn, regular drinks, and select candy costing just $3 (plus tax) until 11 a.m. Additionally, participants can enjoy free 30-minute XSCAPE playcards or tokens and one-hour game bands at The Rec Room and Playdium.
This event is not just about the movies; Cineplex is also supporting BGC Canada, a national nonprofit organization that helps kids and teens with life-changing programs. For the entire day, Cineplex will donate $1 from every purchase to BGC Canada. It's a perfect day out for the family, combining entertainment with a chance to support a good cause.
