I've heard it's loud, but I've never been to a rock concert or night club. I'm sensitive to excessive noise.

Some areas in Bali, like Uluwatu and Ubud Centre, are extremely busy with traffic and noise, making it difficult to venture out without noise-cancelling headphones. In contrast, outer Ubud and Sidemen are surprisingly quiet and peaceful.

I'm used to city noise, but Bali's extreme noise levels are a different story. The constant din of traffic, people talking, and other sounds can be overwhelming.

If you're looking for a peaceful retreat, consider staying in a resort in Ubud. Once you're away from the main streets, the area can be quite serene.

While it's true that most areas in Bali are not as loud as a rock club, there are still some areas that can be quite noisy. If you're extremely sensitive to noise, it's best to research and plan carefully.

Bali's densely populated areas can be challenging for noise-sensitive individuals, with constant sounds from dogs, roosters, unmuffled bikes, and poorly maintained trucks. Even quiet spots can be disrupted by loud phone speakers. To minimize exposure, it's best to avoid the south of the island, from Uluwatu to Ubud, and carefully select your accommodation. Many buildings in Bali are not designed with noise reduction in mind, and some even amplify outdoor noise.

As someone with autism, I've found that noise-cancelling headphones are essential for managing noise levels. However, everyone's sensitivity to noise is different, so it's essential to take precautions.

Bali's noise levels can vary greatly depending on the area. While some places are very quiet, others can be extremely loud, making it essential to seek out quiet spots or take noise-reducing measures.

If you're looking for a quieter experience, consider visiting regional towns like Amed, Balian, Candi Dasa, Kintamani, and Bedugal, which tend to be less crowded and noisy.
