Kelingking Beach to Gain Permanent Stairway for Enhanced Safety
Nusa Penida, Bali, has announced a significant safety upgrade for Kelingking Beach, with the construction of a permanent stairway valued at Rp3.2 billion. The stairway aims to mitigate risks associated with the steep cliff descent and improve the safety and comfort for both local and international tourists.

Acting Klungkung Regional Secretary and Tourism Office head, I Gusti Agung Gede Putra Mahajaya, emphasized that the stairway will enhance safety and make the descent safer for visitors. The project will be funded through a partnership with Ctrip International Indonesia, part of Trip.com Group.
Other improvements in the partnership include the installation of a new ticketing post and pergolas at Kelingking Beach, as well as support equipment for Balawista water-rescue personnel. These changes are part of a broader initiative to improve tourism infrastructure in Nusa Penida to balance visitor safety and comfort with economic benefits and environmental preservation.
