Fuel Shortage in Bali: Man Allegedly Selling Bottled Fuel to Foreigners
A viral video on social media claims to show a man selling bottled fuel to foreign visitors in Bali at inflated prices, sparking concerns about fuel shortages and price gouging on the island. The video, although unverified, emerged as Bali continues to face disruptions at filling stations, leading to long queues and shortages of fuel. Authorities have begun investigating reports of high-priced fuel sales and warned against illegal resale or misuse of subsidised fuel.

Bali Police and district criminal investigation units have deployed teams to examine reports of fuel being sold at inflated prices through social media. The police chief has also issued a warning to residents against using modified fuel tanks or illegally reselling subsidised fuel for personal gain.
The incident comes as Bali's fuel distribution problems have already impacted daily mobility, tourism, and education, with some drivers spending hours in queues and schools shifting to online learning. Authorities have increased monitoring at filling stations and traffic management to address the issue.
